Cuteness

We had a 10th birthday party for our daughter on Saturday. But I'm not posting any pictures from that today.

And this blog is titled Mrs D Crochets, Etc, and I am working on another Aphrodite Shawl as well as another slipper sock pattern. But I'm not posting any pictures of those today.

I'm also knitting three pairs of socks at once (not such a good idea). And while there is progress to show, I'm not showing it here today.

Instead, this is a baby mouse my daughters found while they were cleaning up the backyard. And since middle daughter just had both of her rats die recently, I didn't have the heart to tell her to put it back outside, where it's kind of cold and there are vicious suburban predators such as dogs, cats, squirrels and birds. And besides, it's super cute.

We can't tell if it's a boy or girl, and I suggested not giving it a name since its health may be precarious (and even if it's not, how long do mice live anyway?). But it is super cute and really quite affectionate.

Its name is Bo.
