Little-Bit-Sick Day

I can't resist little skeins of cotton yarn on sale -- Peaches & Creme, Sugar 'n Cream, solids, stripes, multi-colors.

But I'm kind of over the whole potholder thing (temporarily, of course), and I don't like using crocheted dishcloths.

So when youngest daughter was poking through the stash of crazy mismatched cotton the other day, and suggested washcloths (or facecloths or, if you really want to get fancy, spa cloths), that seemed like a pretty good idea.

Now yesterday I was a Little Bit Sick with a cold -- definitely not the kind of sick that would justify a bona fide sick day (and what the hell would I do anyway? Call in sick to myself? "Hello, self. I'm not coming in today. What's that? I'm already in? Oh, yeah. Crap.") -- but certainly under the weather enough to warrant a bit of time on the couch with a hot cup of tea and some comforting cotton yarn. A Little-Bit-Sick Day.

And I made a couple of washcloths. They're somewhere between 9" and 10" square, 31 stitches across with a size 8 or H hook, edged in half-double crochet. Each one took just about a whole ball of Peaches & Cream. That was fun.
