Must. Finish. Knitting. Socks.

Last May, I set a little goal for myself to learn to knit socks.

By June, I had finished one pair and started working on two other pairs.

In hindsight, I probably should have realized that such a move seems like something that might set one up for a failure-to-finish scenario.

Looking back over the past few months of my blog posts does not help me remember when I cast on a third pair. But I did.

And some sort of must-do-something-other-than-knit boredom must have been setting in, because there seems to be a quite a number of crochet projects getting done, too.

I seemed to be doing more knitting and crocheting over the summer than I normally do in the colder months. That's kind of weird.

Anyway, I now have a new little goal -- finish all the socks by the end of the year. Three (one from each pair) are done. The one in the picture is the one I intend to concentrate on first. And while the novelty of the new sock yarn has worn off (and that's bad), at least I'm more than halfway there.

And just for a little more motivation, next to my desk like the proverbial carrot on a stick, there's a box from the Loopy Ewe containing Tosh Sock yarn. The color is La Vie en Rose, which must translate to "extraordinarily amazingly beautiful shades of lavender." And I have admonished myself that I absolutely will not knit with it until all the other socks are done. And that's final.

But I'm starting to wonder how it would be to CROCHET with it...

As a web site owner I think the material here is really magnificent. I appreciate it for your time. You must maintain it and keep it up forever! Excellent work.
